BIA - how to develop a BIA?
This is a very standard answer (adopted from a quiz) -
A collaborative effort between the Organization BCM Coordinator, Business Unit BCM Coordinator,
the Executive Management and BCM Steering Committee, is essential to the success of this phase.
The information and findings from the BIA will determine the recovery strategies, the bc recovery process and procedures, the effectiveness of the organization recovery from disasters: possibly, even its survival.
In most BCP projects, the Organization BCM Coordinator will identify the information to gather in the BIA and develop the BIA Questionnaire (BIAQ) to facilitate the data collection process.
(This is of course provided that the he/she knows how to develop such an questionnaire.)
He/she should also set the criteria for financial (quantitative) and non-financial (qualitative) impacts.
The criteria for prioritization and recovery timescales for the critical business functions should also
be defined. He/she should get the BCM Steering Committee to approve the approach, criteria and the format of the BIAQ. The next step will be to train and provide instructions to the Business Unit BCM Coordinator on how to complete the BIAQ.
The Business Unit BCM Coordinator will work with the relevant process owners within their departments to identify the critical business functions and complete the BIAQ. He/she should also review and validate the information with the department head, who will should approve and sign-off the BIAQ.
The approved BIAQ will be submitted to the Organization BCM Coordinator for collation and further evaluation. The Organization BCM Coordinator should review and clarify the BIAQ information with the department head,Business Unit BCM Coordinator and the process owners, if necessary.
He/she will then prepare a report and submit the findings and recommendations to the BCM Steering Committee and/or Executive Management for approval. Any differences or issues relating to the BIAQ and the prioritization for recovery of the critical business functions, will be resolved and decided by the BCM Steering Committee or Executive Committee.

Newspaper
I usually read 2 or 3 newspaper a day, depending on my mode. Well, i have to admit they are English and Chinese papers most of the time, but i do read Malay papers. I still prefer to buy a copy of paper early in the morning, it is a habit actually, hard to give up, though most of the news can be readily read from tablet and smartphone.
Change of Blog Name
I have finally decided to change the blog name to better reflect the content of this site. This is supposed to be a blog for what i thought and practiced as a Buddhist. Keeping everything in Mandarin proving to be too troublesome for me as i didn't really spend time on PinYin input on Windows. That's ok, let's keep that religious thing in my heart. This blog will be used for documenting whatever i read..and for some current events. Nothing big.

Sungai Long....dirty place
That's all I can say, despite I like here. It is just so dirty, rubbish everywhere. Just feel so disappointed with all these bullshit politics who claimed they can do better. I just feel being cheated.
